Third Space Brewing takes on all the challengers at WhirlyBall (185 S. Moorland Rd.) 6:30 to 9 p.m. Try a few Third Space beers and beat the Brewery team for loot.

Learn calligraphy just in time to impress your friends with well-designed Christmas cards. Broken Bat Brewing Co. (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) is hosting a Calligraphy Learning Night that starts at 6:15 p.m. Fee of $ 65 includes a calligraphy kit and an hour and a half of expert class.
Friday December 3
The weekly release of the 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) is The Dunedin Sound, a lager made from New Zealand hops. Presale starts at 9 a.m.
Saturday 4th December
The Wonderworker Winter Biere de Garde is released at Brewery Meeting Place (811 E. Vienna St.) and it will be an event. Four versions will be available on draft, including the 2019 and 2020 barreled vintages, Wonderworker 2020 and Wonderworker 2021. This year’s version and the 2020 cask aged version will be available in four-pack to go. The Graze Outdoors food truck will be there from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Coconut, one of the variations on Third Space Brewing’s German chocolate cake series, wasn’t quite ready for a Black Friday release. Good news, it’s ready now. It will be available in barrels and cans at Third space (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) on Saturdays.
Black Husky Brewery (909 E. Locust St.) kicks off City Sproose IIPA at 10 a.m. It’s made with spruce tips from this year’s City of Milwaukee Christmas tree. Proceeds support the Milwaukee Urban Forestry Fund.
Sunday 5 December
Be crafty in building a macrame hanger and drink a pint as you do it. Third Space Brewing waters a Macrame plant suspension workshop 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. For $ 50, you can learn, create and drink.
