In case a whole slew of holiday-themed glittering pop-ups with flowing mugs of spiked hot chocolate weren’t enough, there are still plenty of food and drink events taking place around Nashville during of this last month of 2021.
Xiao Bao Residence at the Dive Bar and Lounge, within the Dive Bar Motel

Still set to open the first outpost of their cult Charleston-based Asian comfort food restaurant Xiao Bao, this spring Duolan Li and Joshua Walker are building excitement by teasing their food in town. They stay at the Dickerson Road Dive Motel for the duration of the year and offer dishes and cocktails inspired by a 7 month honeymoon where the couple explored the flavors of China, Taiwan, Thailand and from Vietnam. Sip cocktails like ‘double dragon’, a Taiwanese beer with a shot of Sichuan maize infused gin while waiting for the delicious lemongrass pork-stuffed fried mochi by the 1970s fireplace, vintage faux leather booths or can -be the bar wood panels. Other menu offerings include a spicy papaya salad accompanied by a fried chicken garnish, as well as more hearty dishes like shrimp fried rice, hand-drawn noodles with chili beef cumin and sesame, and Xiao Bao’s signature okonomiyaki, a cabbage pancake that can be served with eggs. , bacon, pork candies or katsuo.
Kenect Holiday Market

Kenect organizes its second edition Holiday market event in the lobby and outside the main entrance for all Kenect members and the public to shop, sip and eat at local Nashville vendors. These featured vendors include Music City Vintage, Calligraphie de Barbara, Kendra’s Popcorn, Rock N BoHo, Green Jeans Houseplants, Belle Fleur Pastries, The Chambray Apron, S’more Love food truck, Andi Aesthetics, Smoke & Ginger and Picnic Tap. Additionally, rising Nashville star Callie McCullough will perform live and the LetsBoothIt photo booth will be on hand for shoppers to snap fun and creative vacation-inspired photos. Parking will be validated by Kenect for their parking garage.

Amerigo Seven Fish Festival Dinner

The Feast of the Seven Fishes is part of the celebration of Italian-American Christmas Eve – a feast that usually consists of seven different seafood dishes. It is originally from southern Italy, where it is known as La Vigil (La Vigilia). Some Italian-American families are known to celebrate with nine, eleven or thirteen (!) Seafood dishes. This celebration commemorates the expectation, the Vigilia di Natale, from the birth to midnight of the baby Jesus. On December 7 and 8, Chef Steven Robilio will host a seven-course dinner at each location with wine and cocktail pairings alongside each course for $ 85 per person. This year’s family menu includes moat with Szechuan pepper vinaigrette, hay-roasted oysters with bacon and garlic butter, and arctic char on red wine truffle risotto with red butter sauce.
