Andhra Pradesh week begins at India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Apart from showcasing commercial attractiveness, the state will also showcase its cultural heritage to the global audience through the India Pavilion.

Andhra Pradesh Week will end on February 17.

The State Floor at the Pavilion was inaugurated by Mekapati Goutham Reddy, Minister of Commerce and Information Technology, Government of Andhra Pradesh, together with Dr Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State of the Emirates United Arab Foreign Trade; Dr. Ahmed Albanna, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to India and Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates.

Zulfi Ravdjee, Advisor to the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Special Representative of the Government for Middle and Far East Countries and JVN Subramanyam, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and CEO Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB), along with senior state government officials, were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

Inaugurating the Andhra Pradesh floor, Reddy said, “Under the able leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, India has made remarkable progress in economic and social development measures and continues to develop as the engine of the global economy. Andhra Pradesh State has strong governance, strategic location advantages, strong infrastructure, thriving industrial and business ecosystem, skilled workforce and immense potential growth in key sectors. I am confident that the state floor of the India Pavilion will cast Andhra Pradesh in a new perspective, open up new business opportunities and build new relationships with industry and governments.

He added, “Andhra Pradesh is endowed with abundant natural resources, mineral wealth and presents a low risk and easy environment for business growth. We are ready to exchange strengths and look forward to long-term business relationships with global investors.

Subramanyam said, “It is a great privilege for Andhra Pradesh to participate in Expo2020 Dubai. Andhra Pradesh is one of the nine industrialized states of India, which also helps the country achieve its $5 trillion economic mission. The state floor at the India Pavilion represents our main pillars of governance and development in the state, which will help us to partner with global investors. »
