The Muslim Student Association invites all U of A students and non-students to attend our annual MSA BBQ on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the Chi Omega Greek Theater. The event is free for all U of A students, and non-students can purchase tickets at the door for $12 on the day of the event. The barbecue will be followed by a lecture by guest speaker Fahad Tasleem, founder of DC Seminary, an institute focused on the spiritual empowerment of professionals and students. We welcome everyone from all walks of life to enjoy a free barbecue, ask questions and dispel any misconceptions about Islam.

At the event, we plan to serve BBQ chicken, hot dogs, burgers, snacks, drinks and more! We will also be offering interactive booths so attendees can walk around, interact, and ask questions of local Muslims in Northwest Arkansas. Our booths will include a General Islamic Information Booth, Arabic Calligraphy Booth, Five Pillars of Islam Booth, Women in Islam Booth, “Try on a Hijab” Booth and many more fun activities!

Tasleem’s diverse studies and research interests include Quranic Studies, Dawah, Islamic and Comparative Theology, Behavioral Economics, Economic History, and Arabic Linguistics. He will give a lecture on the role of Satan in Islam, and his lecture will be followed by a question and answer session, in case anyone has any questions.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as an Associated Student Government Funded Event and is free to all students currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Any questions or concerns can be sent to Abdussaboor Muhammad at [email protected] or call or text at (479) 866-0873.
