DUBAI, December 19, 2021 (WAM) – Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technologies, visited the Honduran and Botswana pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Minister was briefed on economic and investment opportunities, and reviewed strategies and projects aimed at encouraging investment and business development, especially in the areas of technology and infrastructure.
During his visit to the Honduran Pavilion, designed around the theme “Learn about the Antiquities, Culture and Biodiversity of our Country”, Al Amiri attended a comprehensive presentation on the distinctive features of the Central American country, including the architectural style of its historic towns, stunning beaches and variety of tourist experiences that celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage, picturesque nature and diverse cuisine.
She listened to an explanation of Honduras’ vision for business development and investment promotion, and the country’s progress in improving the business environment in order to attract foreign investment.
During her visit to the Botswana Pavilion, participating under the theme “Creating New Opportunities Through The Right Connections”, Al Amiri was briefed on the industrial opportunities offered in this southern African country, such as mining, stones and mining, in addition to the innovation, technology, tourism, food, financial services sectors. She was also introduced to the arts and crafts of Botswana, including a variety of handicrafts such as jewelry and dyes from sustainable and organic materials and materials.
The Minister also learned about the rich tourism ecosystem of Botswana and the existing opportunities for innovation, including the use of solar energy, manufacturing of hearing aids and other advanced medical devices.
