Melfort is Hosting a Citywide Spring Club Sign-Up Party

The event will take place at Swartout Hall at the Kerry Vickar Center on March 31, from 7-9 p.m.

MELFORT — Community members of all ages will be able to find clubs and hobbies during Melfort’s first citywide spring registration night since the pandemic began.

Melfort facilities manager Leonard Whitney said it was a good opportunity for community members to find a new activity.

“Some people still aren’t aware of all the activities Melfort has to offer and it’s a great opportunity to get out and contact some of the groups,” Whitney said.

Some of the clubs and organizations that have already confirmed their presence include Aspiring Artists, Wheatland Calligraphy, Melfort Minor Football, Kinsmen Minor Football, Melfort Minor Baseball, Northeast Christian Academy, Northern Lights Wood Carvers, Northern Lights Quilting, Skate Melfort, Taekwondo, NESPCA. and the Marlins summer swim team.

The last time the city held a spring registration party was in 2019.

“With COVID, everything has been delayed and delayed, so we’re just trying to get back to our normal type of operations, having a taping night in the spring and fall,” he said. “We are delighted to be able to organize this again and we look forward to things getting back to normal.”

The event will take place at Swartout Hall at the Kerry Vickar Center on March 31, from 7-9 p.m.

To register a table, clubs are asked to email the city at [email protected] or call 306-752-7906.
